Where There's a Will, There's a Way.
Some of our members would like to be able to donate more to the Synagogue than they are currently able to do. Some have equity in property, rather than liquid assets. Others wish to conserve their reserves, not knowing what they will need for the future.
But you may want to consider leaving a lasting legacy to New London Synagogue and ensure that your name is remembered, whilst at the same time reducing the inheritance tax liability for your heirs and your estate.
There is no inheritance tax payable on legacies left to registered charities – and a gift to New London Synagogue (registered charity number 1133578) may be more appealing than giving the money to the tax man.
In the past three years we have received two separate legacies of £10,000 each and we remember the donors annually with gratitude and love. If you would like to discuss, in confidence, the possibility of making a gift to the Synagogue in your will, please contact Jo Velleman (email or 020 7328 1026) who will happily meet with you, or provide suitable wording for a will or codicil.
