Pre-School Rhyme Time Shabbat Service, 0-4 years

On the 1st and 3rd Shabbat of each month from 10:30-11:15am is our friendly, interactive service for young children and their parent/carers. The service is a great opportunity for families with under-4s to come together to pray, sing fun songs, play movement games and hear stories related to the Torah portion and Shabbat. It is a space for creating friendships and deepening the sense of community at NLS. Followed by a Kiddush. We ask one adult to please stay with their child during this Service.

Lead a service! A dedicated and passionate group of parents/carers volunteer on rotation lead this provision. The Pre-Schooler Service has its own siddur, filled with songs and accompanying actions - all Hebrew prayers are transliterated.

Parents accompany their children to this service and in so doing, also support the service leader. We also have a large selection of stories that can be read and shared with the children. Volunteers will be provided with support and training. To sign-up to be a leader, please email our Head of Youth Development, Sam Pallis on
