Shabbat Morning Service for Children, Reception-Yr4

On the 1st and 3rd Shabbat of each month from 11:00-11:45am is our fun-filled Shabbat morning service.  A chance to come together to pray, hear a story, sing Jewish songs and have a fun, meaningful Shabbat experience. Followed by Kiddush. Led by our Head of Youth Development, Sam Pallis.

Where: Beit Midrash, New London Synagogue (meet in the foyer at 10:50am)

Family Kabbalat Shabbat Meal, 4 years and older

A warm and welcoming Friday night service for all the family, with song, t'filah and fun Torah-related activities for young people. Led by Rabbi Jeremy and Cantor Jason, with age-specific activities for children led by Sam Pallis, Head of Youth Development, and Hannah Kashman, NOAM Masorti youth worker. Includes a delicious, light supper of mini pizzas, crudités, dips, mini challah rolls and fruit.

Where: Hall, New London Synagogue.

Time: 5:00-7:00pm on the following dates:

  • 15th December 2017 – Special Chanukah Kabbalat Shabbat with latkes and doughnuts.


Havdalah in Pyjamas, 0-4 years

An opportunity for children and their families to spend time with friends. Eat, drink and sing, and join in the beautiful ceremony of Havdallah to extend the light of Shabbat into the week. These events are normally held on Shabbat winter afternoons. Please keep an eye open for details on the synagogue website of upcoming Havdallah in PJs events for primary-aged kids.


NOAM (Masorti Youth Movement)

NOAM run a range of activities for primary-aged children and teenagers throughout the year, including weekly clubs, and summer and winter camps with exciting activities.

This year we are delighted to have Hannah Kashman, NOAM Mazkirah, as our youth worker at New London Synagogue. She will be coming into NLS every 3rd Saturday of the Month to lead the Youth Service for years 5-7.
