Shacharit for Regular Shabbat

Use the materials on this page to learn the prayers for a complete Shacharit service for Shabbat. The audio files below contain the basic nusach, not musical arrangements in general (with a few exceptions). One may always choose to use a particular congregational melody where appropriate. The service leader should avoid frivolous and/or irreverent musical settings for the liturgy (ie., secular melodies)

For an abbreviated service (heiche k'dusha), chant 1-15, then instead of a silent amida, continue aloud from 16-18, fading to quiet at the end of L'dor Vador. Then revert to private prayer through 28, and also add the personal prayer Elohai N'tzor silently (not provided below). Chant Full Kaddish (29) and Shir Shel Yom (30).
