Kitty Hart-Moxon OBE is a Polish-English Holocaust survivor. Sent to the Auschwitz labour camp in 1943, at the age of 16, she survived two years there and in other camps. Shortly after her liberation in April 1945 by American soldiers, she moved to England with her mother, where she married and dedicated her life to raising awareness of the Holocaust. Kitty will talk about the Uprising in Auschwitz which she witnessed and also show a film documenting her emotional return to Auschwitz in the 1970’s. Kitty was one of the first to return to Auschwitz from the West and no one has made a comparable film since. A short Memorial service will follow the presentation All Welcome – Admission £5 |
