Seeking Refuge with Lord Alf Dubs and Gulwali Passarlay

11th November 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We have all been aware of the unfolding crises around those fleeing and seeking refuge, including a great many unnecessary tragedies. But what does it mean to seek refuge? And what is happening in political spheres to care for those who are in need of our help?

We are honoured to be joined by two special guests this week, to share their experiences and perspectives on the refugee crisis and our country’s response. Lord Alf Dubs is a patron of the Separated Child Foundation and a champion of refugee causes, who is currently spearheading the action to move the government to provide for family reunion after Brexit. And we will be joined by Gulwali Passarlay, a former separated child, and the author of the best-selling The Lightless Sky

We will of course also hear from our beloved member Angela Gluck, trustee of the Separated Child Foundation, whose passion for the care of separated children has brought this cause close to many of our hearts.

The New London Synagogue Salon takes place every Wednesday evening from 7.00pm in our usual Zoom Room here or call 0203 051 2874 and use the code 324 434 273, or watch the conversation on Facebook Live here.
