Recent Governmental announcements (regarding ‘groups of 6’) have specifically exempted religious services from any further restrictions. We are still on for in-building services.

If you can come to Shul, you are welcome. We are fully booked for the late morning service, but have availability for the early morning and afternoon services. But you will need to book. We are not able to accept walk-ups, members or otherwise. Booking priority is being given to members, but we are now looking to welcome non-members able to make a donation. You can do that here.

If you can’t come to the building, we’ve on-line opportunities to connect. We are going to be posting our pre-recorded videos and a stream of the live services at
If you head to that page now and it’s not fully functioning just yet, don’t worry … like Rosh Hashanah, it’s coming. We’ll be posting other material to our Facebook page –

You’ll also find, on this site, a dedicated Youth page and some info on Machzorim.

On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, Friday night 18th, 6pm we are sharing a Maariv on Zoom. We want to provide opportunities for the whole community to be able to come together. We don’t want to privilege those of us who won’t be able to get to the building above those who cannot. These on-line services (Kol Nidrei will be similar), should be one of the most special moments of this season. Those services will be in our usual Zoom room, members should have that info, or you can watch on-line at

Rosh Hashanah is a time of spiritual accountability, and a time when calls are made for Tzedakah – charitable support. The work of New London Synagogue has gone on during and through lockdown. Our members, and others, have sought community, solace, inspiration and, even, financial support from us at a time of enormous challenge. We have done our best to respond and we are proud that so many are now coming to prayer, educational, social and our other on-line events. We’ve worked hard to create Covid-compliant in-building services and installed kit to allow these services to be streamed for those who cannot attend. If you can support this work, and allow us to continue to grow, even in these strange times, we would be hugely grateful. You can make a donation on our secure payment-portal here

In these strange times we wish one and all a year of sweetness and health,

Shannah Tovah

The Team at New London
